Thorpe cottage is a 300-year-old Grade II listed cottage that lies in the heart of the popular Peak District Village of Ashford in the Water, on the River Wye – only two miles from the market town of Bakewell.

Lovely cottage in a lovely location! Really enjoyed our stay here, and found the cottage very sweet and relaxing.

We are a young couple and really loved the look and feel of the cottage, proper British countryside cottage. Ashford in the water is beautiful, near Bakewell. So much to do. The fire was amazing as it snowed while we was there !

This is our second stay in Thorpe Cottage, it is a very comfortable and well look after place to stay. The owner of the property was really helpful and understanding, when we locked ourselves out of the property. Ashford in the water is a great base for walking, we walked from the door most days.
